Macfarlane Packaging wins the Supply Chain Solution of the Year with Peak Scientific
The “Project McLaren Exhibition Pack”, a collaboration between Macfarlane Packaging and Peak Scientific, won the Supply Chain Solution of the Year award at the UK Packaging Awards 2018 gala dinner on Tuesday.
The event organised by Packaging News took place on 30th October at the Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane and is one of the biggest packaging events of this type.
The winning pack was created to help Peak transport its laboratory gas generation products to exhibitions around the world and replaced the wooden crates previously used by the company. The new solution is sustainable, lightweight but robust to help maximise product protection while reducing storage, transport and damage costs.
The project was affectionately named after Peak Scientific’s Exhibition Manager, Ann McLaren, who has been representing company at various global exhibitions for over 20 years.
Macfarlane Packaging was also shortlisted for the Corrugated: Online Retail and Consumer Goods Award with an innovative eCommerce box created for Blaze Wear, a leading retailer of heated clothing, accessories and heat therapy products, and the solution was highly commended.
