We provide a structured induction for all new starters to ensure you get up to speed and engaged in our business as quickly as possible. This usually involves some element of product and systems training. A key element of our induction process is Health and Safety and we want to make sure that all new employees understand the importance we place on this at Macfarlane Group

E-Learning/Training

The continuous professional development of all Macfarlane Group colleagues is central to our strategy for business growth: their success is our success. So we provide career development plans and pathways in an environment that fosters personal growth and continuous improvement. We offer a variety of training opportunities, tailored to individual needs, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Training Includes:

Development

We invest time in understanding our employees’ career aspirations, and provide coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing to encourage the team ethic that is at the heart of our ongoing success. Our existing and aspiring managers have the opportunity to undertake a range of programmes (including ILM accredited) development programmes to support their onward progression within the business.

Apprenticeship Training & Development

Macfarlane Group actively embraces the opportunity to identify and develop new talent via apprenticeship contracts which are offered for a range of core entry level roles within our business across our English sites. Opportunities to join us and enjoy development as an apprentice can be found across both our distribution centres and manufacturing sites.

We offer a range of apprenticeship schemes, whereby appointments are always with a view to ultimately appointing the individual on a permanent basis upon completion of the initial apprenticeship contract. As a business we are committed to not paying less than the national minimum wage in line with legislative age guidelines.
